Clown ministry is an area of clowning that appeals to many clowns today. Clowns can often reach an audience with the message of the Gospel when a layman or minister is unsuccessful. Children respond well to clowns, therefore clowning and ministry go hand in hand! Many clown ministers take clowning into the missionary field both locally and all around the world every year, touching the lives of many people in a very positive way! Clown ministry and prison ministry go well together, too, as prisoners are often touched in very positive ways by the ministry of clowns each year. If you have an interest in ministry clowning, there is a wonderful Gospel Clown Convention held in Houston, Texas each year, the first Friday and Saturday in February.
